Vinyl and the Merchandising Experience
Why buy CD's? The packaging is clunky, wasteful and is too difficult to store compared with CD wallets or albums. My physical music media dollar goes to vinyl. Audiophiles can argue about the snap, crackle and pop and extra-warm bass and nifty gear with belts and motors and arms and needles... I prefer LP's for 12"x12" of art work, lyric sheets, translucent or otherwise brightly colored discs and rarity. CD, schmee-dee. There's a bazillion of those things flying around. To me, vinyls have a nice little space carved out in the retail world that no digital medium can replace.
