For the first time, parents have total power to control all TV programming in their home.
What a crock!!! So I guess parents did NOT have total power to control TV programming or anything else in thier houshold before the V chip. I grew up in the pre V chip era and we watched what my parents said we could watch or we didn't watch at all, period.
Furthermore, we watched TV as a family. We watched after dinner was finished, homework and chores were done, etc.
We didn't need the V chip then and we most certainly do not need it now. If parents are having a problem with their children, then the parents need to step up and not let a piece of hardware do the work for them.
