You and I agree about the speculation aspect, but decipher it differently.
I'm not arguing whether this is or isn't speculation. Nor am I arguing whether Vista is or isn't going to be released in January. (You're the one who brought that up.) I have my doubts that it will, but only time will tell.

My point is, there is some credibility for those who were quoted in the article. They're not fortune tellers who can see into the future, but they do have more information about Microsoft's business practice than most of the rest of us. Microsoft's views are one-sided, and understandably so. I don't expect (this is not snide) them to announce a delay unless they're sure it's going to happen. They must, as good business practice, stand by their last assessment for as long as they can.

As to your denial that you bring up other OSes in Windows discussions, your past record attests otherwise, and other readers know it. As I noted in my last post, you have, in the past, accused me of being a 'Linux fanboy,' when I never mentioned that OS before you made that assumption about me.

Care to take a guess at the OS I most often use at work? At home? If you get it right, I'll admit to it.
