Jefferson's draft was indeed more restrictive. As I've already shown, he disliked the very concept of intellectual property. The final form of legislation passed in 1793 is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, which is the purpose of patents in the first place; clearly and concisely stated in the Constitution itself, and consistently misunderstood or mangled by yourself.
You confuse the goal of the farmer with the goal of the ass. The goal of the farmer is to plow a field to raise crops: the goal of ass is just to get the carrot dangling in front of him. Long term communal prosperity vs. short term personal gain.
