Terrorism is only a threat if we let it be
You might want to read the earlier post concerning the real motives of the terrorists, and how draconian efforts to stop them are exactly what they were hoping for. You should also keep the terrorist threat in perspective when deciding how to fight them. We really are safest when no one has any freedom, and many conservatives think we should go that way. But many, many more people get killed by drunk drivers and I don't see the government spying on people to find out who might be an alcoholic. It's you that needs to catch a friggin clue, because freedom has always come with risk--if you aren't willing to take the risks of living in an open society, then you probably do belong in a dictatorship. And if you think this point of view is at all un-American, you don't know what America is all about.
