Advertisers don't buy spectrum
Uh, advertisers don't buy spectrum.

---And they PAY for the content you and I receive for free. Take away that incentive and there is no content. Now if you want to remove the social contract (and laws) so the content creators and broadcasters can charge you and I that is another paradigm completely. In fact they call it cable and satellite. (Pay per view)---

Good. Let's do it and use the spectrum for things like emergency communication. If the networks can't find a way to make money on their own, they don't deserve to stay in business. I will not willingly accept shackles just so they can profit.

And note that with this flag in place, it will certainly be used by cable and satellite networks to screw us over just as badly as the broadcast networks want to screw us over. What happens then--I'm paying for HBO, but I can't record the show? Is that fair?
