RFID in fabric - help with yardage inventory?
If it can be made to also represent a serial # every inch or so it could save a good bit of time come inventory time at fabric shops.

I'd like to be able to disable it when we ship out orders, though, preferably in the package after a final QA confirmation read.

Maybe a pullable RFID thread in the selvege would be better for that purpose, though the deactivation would then be up to the customer.
