Tried Laissez-faire approach... its not working...
I don't know about you, but the type of laws getting passed (or not getting passed) because of corporate influence is hurting this country and ultimately business itself.

Privacy legislation is a great example how business will hurt themselves in the end if they oppose strong legislation that would undermine peoples trust in purchasing their goods and services. Companies look to government when they don't want to be held accountable (sued) for lax practices that end up costing innocent people much time, money and aggrevation to clean up the mess of ID theft. They also don't want such "inconveinces" of credit-freezes, encryption etc. that might make it a little tougher to sell products.

The average person has to learn what corps long ago did - spending money on lobbying is the best way to get representation in our government.
