I'll deny it

I've used both Vista and OS X extensively. Both provide a user interface that's interactive and animated using modern graphics hardware. Microsoft does have a light glassy effect as an accent in certain places but I hardly consider that a "rip off." Now, if Microsoft were to have adopted the brushed metal look, or added the Dock I may have been inclined to agree.

In terms of actual style, layout, and design guidelines the two are nothing alike. The user interactions with the UI are quite distinct from each other.

They are no more alike than any other modern GUI. You have buttons, scroll bars, checkboxes, etc.
