Thin Client Based CAD?

I don't see it. One of the reasons for Thin client was the fact that you could do certain operations that require less CPU/GPU/RAM requirements.

CAD likes to spike all three of those elements. Plus MCAD requires massive amounts of paging space. Something that you can't just shove a Gig of flash in there to get away with.

I don't see a way that you can provide a savings client-side and not have a major hang up on the system.

Until you prove otherwise, Thin Client CAD is more than a myth, it is simply impractical.
