Get your Insight While You Can
Great to hear that Toyota is a responsible corporation citizen! So it Honda, although it doesn't get the press coverage that Toyota garners -- probably because celebrities embraced the dreadful (for my taste) Prius rather than the Honda Insight or Civic hybrids. We've had a Honda Insight since 2001 and love it. It's the perfect commuter car -- getting 60 to 70 mpg on the highway and 30 to 50 in the city - real numbers after 35,000 miles. Our lifetime mileage is 45.1 mpg -- a real number, not the EPA estimate. Unfortunatly, Honda will discontinue producing the Insight in Sept 2006. So if you want this incredibly fun to drive hybrid, you better hurry up and order it soon, before it is history.

Keep up the good work, both Toyota and Honda -- someday the U.S. auto manufacturers may actually catch on. Hopefully they will before we can no longer breathe the air or get gas we can afford.
