Canon Lenses
The high end "L" series are about the best lenses I've ever seen.
For those that don't know, just about all sports photography is
done with high end Canons. They feature image stabilization,
fast focus ability and high precision optics. Then again some of
these lenses can cost as much as (or more than) the camera they
are attached to. But the lower end Canon lenses aren't too bad.
One key feature to look for is rear focus. This means the focus is
taking place at the rear of the lens, not the front. Most of the
"IS" lenses have this feature as well as the "L" series. The "USM"
lenses are pretty quiet, but if you have a specialty filter on them
it may move while focusing. This can be frustrating at times.
