How many people are required...
... to "...invent Google's next search algorithm or IBM's next 32-core CPU"? Certainly not the tens of thousands in the H1-B program.

The jobs I was considering do not require that level of expertise and inventiveness. The best talent should be available wherever it arises, but many if not most H-1B jobs require no more expertise than the talented people in the US can provide, I believe. Particularly if the incumbent trains the H-1B replacement.

I would not tell someone he is not reporting honestly on what he sees. I am not contradicting your view. But I will suggest that what you're seeing may not be the entire situation.
