Security involves more than just the desktop!
What I suspect yo are failing to grasp is that security has been a very well know issue since the Moris Worm back in 89 or so. That piece of code sacked a bunch of SunOS4 boxes, what was on the Internet at the time, due to a know vulnerability that Moris Jr. found an exploit for. Security has also been an issue for corporate networks, for the egress routers to the DMV to any external service (DNS, ASP's, ISP's, etc.)

You appear to be oblivious of legal concepst such as Due Diligence, somthing that companies are bound to. Consult a lawyer if you don't understand the concept as it applies to business! PC secutity has been swiss cheese for years partially due to certain lax policies and bad concepts.

Perhaps you have forgotten theExploder ActiveX control and the issues that it brought to light? If you don't remember, it exploited a security hole in ActiveX that would allow the destruction of data (formatting the hard drive(s) or something worse (leaking confidential data to the I'net).

Perhaps you feel that corporations have no legal responsibilities to protect their data or teh data of their partners? In the world of business, this is a critical practice! Business rely on this sort of thing (confidentiality and security) and it can not be regarded as just an add-on!

I suspect it is time for you to grow up and accept some responsibility rather than looking for the next greatest X-box game or cute graphic!
