Where Sun really missed...
Had Scott M. not had the urge to chase the whale (Gates) Sun could have partnered with MS in so many ways.

I still say that if they had worked with MS to get a version of Office on Solaris (modified per the CDDL) it would have made a huge impact and I believe would have been the death knell for Linux.

They, like so many others, just don't understand it's ALL about the applications...
