I think it was pretty obvious to all that jobs needed to be cut.
Sun needs to focus their resources on their core competencies. I would say low power chips that deliver a lot of MIPS per watt would be one pretty good place to focus.

Jonathan will be smart about this, very smart. He would not reduce head count if it did not give them a competitive advantage. This will be a good time to weed out the polititions.
