This is total hogwash
My rep and I just got off the phone to discuss this FUD piece. I do not even know where to start with my utter disgust for this piece of journalism. Forced upgrades??? People should not be forced to upgrade, they should be begging Microsoft to give them access to the code. Not a day goes by where I don't envision upgrading our infrastructure for some Microsoft product. When Kodiak is released, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be there pushing the envelope, even before the product is stabilized. Not using all features of Office System 2003? You might as well go out of business. How can you survive using just Word or just Excel. Your economic survival depends on the entire enchilada. IT executives, listen to me: You need Microsoft, you want Microsoft technologies and nothing should stand in your way. My rep and I are in total agreement.
