Rebuttal
Yeah I've heard of Netscape. I'm also old enough to know about Mosaic, the predecessor to Netscape, and the reason why Netscape's internal name was Mozilla - short for Mosaic killer, which was also a free browser handled by NCSA. The technology was eventually licensed to Spyglass, who Microsoft licensed from for IE. Remember that?

Oh, and Netscape came out first, not IE. And if you look in the About box for IE, you'll see an attribution to Spyglass, along with attributions to a lot of other companies, showing that they integrated software built better than they probably could have developed themselves.

RealPlayer - used it, hate it. DR-DOS - heard about it, never used it, don't intend to - oh yeah, it's also an operating system, not an app. WordPerfect - used it back in middle and high school before Windows 95 became the prevalent operating system, then it was Word. CorelDraw - heard of it, never used it.

Those apps also installed without a problem. I have an old copy of Corel WordPerfect 8 lying around here somewhere that will install and run perfectly on Windows 98/NT/2k (not sure about XP since I used Office 2003). RealPlayer also installed and runs on my computer without a problem, no incompatibilities -- I don't know what problems you're having.

You also misinterpreted my statements. I know about the agreements that Microsoft has with PC manufacturers. Did you know that other corporations also have similar agreements, like Corel and Symantec? I was talking about Microsoft making deals with Apple, Red Hat, Novell, and other *OS* makers to keep Microsoft on top. Those kind of deals I very highly doubt exist.
