Symantec and Microsoft
Microsoft has a vulnerability and that is security. Security will always be a problem because people are always going to make errors and others are always going to try to take advantage of that mistake. Since itis impossible to do all things well Microsoft can't cover everything well. They have to depend on cooperation from other companies to keep running. I knew they were going to try to make their new software stronger. Naturally they are in the business of securing their product since no one wants to sell you something that is going to break down as soon as you get it home. Many discoveries occur at the same time or very close to the same time as history tells me. Albert Einstein just barely got his theory of relativity patented before someone in another country would have gotten the discovery out to the public first. I would hope that Microsoft has ethical and professional employees who would not steal ideas. Knowledge is power and there are no real mysteries. Someone knows as much about your subject as you do. Then others can take something and copy it. Then analyse it and steal it and claim it as theirs. This is where intent comes in. The law will have to decide if something has been stolen or discovered apart from the original. These ideas are not public domain and are protected. I taught myself languages by looking at code, copying code and performing analyses on the code. I have figured out a lot of stuff that I didn't create. Hopefully Microsoft hasn't done the same to Symantec.
