"Sure once you force all adult sites to .XXX then you pass laws requiring that ISPs block access to .XXX sites."

They could block almost all these sites now, without them having a specific domain extension.
This kind of thinking is never too logical to begin with as you could do it for anything. Ex: "Once you require people to get permits to assemble in large groups in public, then you can pass laws to outlaw these groups."
And as for Christians being offended; who do you think is doing the looking at these legal porn sites? (NOTE: Priests are not. They're looking at the *illegal* ones.)
