Speaking of competing on an equal basis, exactly when will that be done with regard to upper-management positions? Any thoughts on that? A timeline, maybe? Because not for nothing, but I don't see too many CEOs of American organizations beaming in from China.

You are talking out of both sides of your mouth. On one hand, you try sounding like a liberal, with your "one world, one people" triteness, but on the other hand, you are advocating plantation capitalism. The Wal-Mart factories in China sure are cost-effective--there's a hell of a "value" there, for sure--but does that mean it's morally right not to pay a living wage, or provide decent working conditions?
