I slpped a disc because of this!
No really - I did. Laptop users suffer more than desktop users, they hunch more. I slipped a disc and spent three months in total agony, in bed and it was five months before I could work. I still can't do many 'normal' things like lifting. I moved from a laptop to a desktop and added some ergnomic elements to my workstation - proper chair, foot rest and so on. This is more of a risk than people think - my doctor said he saw an increasing number of this type of injury.
