Maybe it's because you're looking at the monitor...
...with your back bend forward. If you always squint your eyes, may I suggest ZoomText for work?

http://www.aisquared.com/index.cfm

It also helps if you have a big monitor. I have a Mangnavox 32" HDTV monitor and it works fine for me. With the resolution of 1280x720, you'd want to have ZoomText to prevent further squinting of your eyes.

That's just my thought.

I hope I can be of any help! Time for me (and you) to stretch... silly

Oh, and by the way, if you'ren't using ZoomText and if you're using Internet Explorer 7 Beta, you can try zooming in so you can browse easier, but because this widens the page width to make it look like you are viewing a page in 1280x720 at 200% in a 32" screen, or 100% in a 64" screen, pretending that you're using a 32" monitor, you will have to use your left/right arrow keys to scroll the page to either left or right. In case in ZDNet website, I have to hold down my right arrow key to show less of the "blue bar" in my left of the screen...I mean...the background color.
