You may never see this, but
Your numbers are WAY off. 15% is closer to the mark of those who actually claim to be fundamentalist. And this is not a "CHRISTIAN" country-it is a secular country founded on the principles of freedom from oppression (or the forcing of one religious sect down our collective throats). You need to remember that the Colonies were a haven for those who were persecuted for economic or religious reason. And there are many millions in this country who are not Christian at all. Christianity and freedom are not always mutually inclusive-when you get a chance, ask any victim of the Crusades or maybe check with the French Protestants in the 1700s... Better yet, how about the Catholics and Jews in our own country during WWII? Or the Japanese in the interment camps?
