I'll tell you what it's not. It's not someone who turns a budget
surplus into a record deficit in less than three years. This time
they can't blame it on the Democrats--the Republicans control
the White House and both houses of Congress. They made this
mess all by themselves.

Bush's excuses don't wash either. He claims to have inherited a
recession, but most economists say the recession started in
March of 2001. Too late to blame Clinton, too early to blame 9/
11. Besides, as I recall, FDR inherited one heck of a recession
(i.e. The Great Depression) from his Republican predecessor
(Hoover, coincidentally, the last president to preside over a
shrinkage in the job market) and fought the second world war
while simultaneously bringing the economy back from the dead.

Bush isn't a conservative. He's just another Hoover--an inept,
incompetent boob who's too busy giving tax breaks to
billionaires and posturing on everything from athletes using
steroids to same-sex marriage to notice the economy is going
down the toilet. And for those of us who were lucky enough to
get some of those tax breaks, just look at what happened to our
investments! I thought when he said he was going to cut capital
gains he meant he was going to cut the capital gains tax, but,
no! He really cut the capital gains! I'd rather give the tax cuts
back if I could have the economy we had before Bush got into
office.
