I have no problem with porn in general. I do have a problem how these sites try to get visiors to their site. Not even my children are completely free from this. Every now and then a site that is supposed to have innocent content turns out to be a porn site. If I as an adult choose to view material like that then that's up to me. I do believe however we have to protect our children from materials like this. Porn is meant to be a form of entertainment (for adults)and as an adult I can distinguish between sex as entertainment and "the real thing" (I just have to look out of my window to see that the measurements of both the women and men in porn are far from average :-)) I'm not saying it's bad for children to see naked people but the sex portrait in porn is not "the real thing" children might have problems with understanding the concept of entertainment and "the real thing" and this might harm them when they get at the age where they are starting to experiment with sex themselves. The'll have distorted expectations wich might harm their sense of self and how they view others.

I'm having a realy hard time, no pun intended, understanding the lack of tolerance society has when it comes to sex in the media. Appearently seeing Arnie kill of ten men per minute is less disturbing then seeing two people (or more :-)) make love? Maybe you can argue that both are wrong but if I have to choose between the two I'd say the lesser evil is sex.

I have yet to see a crowd cheer when the president is making love to his wife but it's something that does occur when he's telling the people he's going to kill a lot of iraqi's (not that I was against the iraq invasion ont the contrary). It seems the tolerance of violence has already a far reaching influence on our society then sex has. Unfortunately because a nation making love apeals to me a lot more then a nation going to war.
