Intel did not cream AMD they started treading water and got some fire under their feat...and hey real world only we aren't interested in your stinkin demo's happy

It's a race and so far Intel's starting to minimize the gap but they're working so much harder to catch up. AMD is basically sitting on their thrown and making money from their 3 years of hard work...watching Intel scramble is rather satisfying to them. When Intel comes close, BANG watch AMD slap on the table the royal flush and sit back smile and watch them scramble all over again.

See when a company delays shippment of new gen stuff in place of making a more robust interm step it means they're ahead of the game and are building their rep stronger for when the big fight comse to their door. R&D is a wonderful secret weapon!
