While you're playing your xbox and ps3 I'll be working
Uhhh, cell's will not only need a new OS but a complete overhaul in programming architecture and some developers to adopt a platform and start building programs. You're at least 3 years off in your predictions.

By that time I'll have gone quad core and gotten some real work done. For now it's game consoles strickly for this chipset. OH and do you know why this processor was originally built for? Security! which means it's going after a bigger market with this chip, not consumer, DOD government, specialized systems, custom application systems.

I'm sure some form of linux or *nix will be used but it won't be for consumers to use for a while. Unless someone hacks an Xbox 360 and possibly a PS3 but with it's built in die security and hardware encoding, I don't know how soon it will get there.

Nice thought though.
