Sorry for the placement, but I could not reply to the original posting...

Martha Stewart had not ONE, but TWO opportunities to avoid her fate. She could have 1.) come clean at the begining and paid maybe a $200,000 fine and got probation. And 2.) She could have taken the deal the prosecution offered her recently and got off with a slap on the wrist.

Instead, she is now going to spend, anywhere from 1 to 20 years in Club Fed and now that she is a convicted FELON, she is barred for life from ever sitting on the board of directors of any publicly traded company. She no longer can run her own empire.

Sometimes arrogance gets you into a lot of trouble.
