Wow, nice. Did anyone else see the story on tv about solar arrays?
Basically, they said that if you hooked up solar array in the middle of the desert that was 100miles in square, it could power every home in the US. Now imagine that you had maybe 10 mile squared plants all around the US, we wouldnt need the large one and the system would be completely redundant. Not to mention, if everyone used these solar panels for their roofs, that redundant system would act as a backup. When hurricanes/tornados/floods/etc hit, everyone would still have power, because they generate their own.

ahh the possibilities!
