Why Thank you Shelendrea!
I usually get the whole, ?YOU WILL BE DAMNED FOREVER!? speech. Then I ask the simple question: ?If your god loves us all as his children then why would he damn me or any that chose not to believe, especially since he/she gave us free will? Or do you as a parent put conditions on your child for them to receive your love and protection and in that light expect your deity to do the same?? That has a tendency to send some of them into a real flap! Bottom line is when you try to reason with these types you can't so I generally sit back smile and let them ramble on while I am ?worshipping the great deity of Sapporo!?.

I am probably happier than any bible thumping, church going, self proclaimed christian in that I do not live my life in fear and I do not mourn my ?deity? (not that I really have one... think native Americans and Wiccans and you're close to my belief system). I do not spend my waking hours worried that I may cross some unseen deity because I did something that I wasn't supposed to do. Another thing I find ironic is that many millions of people starve each year when there is food right next to them... because of their religion! Now how stupid can they be? Food is walking through their house and they are starving... I just don't get it!

Anyhow, you are one of my favorites on these boards as well. And as you noted we may not always agree I think we hold many of the same values and beliefs... just with our own unique twists. Gotta ask how the recovery is going for you and the younguns?

Peace out sista gotta jet now...
