Already used for Independent Films
Bittorrent is already being used for independent films, like the free movie Cactuses ( cactusemovie.com ).

Bittorreent was originally for legal purposes such as Linux distributions, etc. It was never designed for illegal use. Infact, where most peer-to-peer structures try to mask the downloaders, or be compleatly decentralized, Bittorrent was designed (originally) to require a centralized tracker. The tracker certainly didn't mask anyone's IP address, and, in many implementations, posts in on a web site for all to see. Not exactly ideal for a pirate.
