- SCO claims IBM supports truth!!
-
It is known that The SCO Group is willing to litigate on dubious grounds and have a law firm in their pocket - to the tune of several million dollars.
Question for TSG (I hate using SCO in their name, as they are not the original SCO - the original SCO was a trusted business, unlike the current company who is suing their OWN customers) : You are willing to sue what seems to be anyone for any fancied reason. You have access to lawyers. Why are you not suing PJ and GROKLAY.NET for posting lies on that site? Could it be because they are not lies? Could it be because you have no legal recourse you are reverting to innuendo and something-less-than-half (i.e., totally untrue, but it might help your position) truths?
I find it interesting that integrity has been mentioned - interesting, because PJ as demonstrated it, and TSG has eschewed integrity as a non-viable business plan, instead opting for the lies and lawsuits business model.
If there are no lies or mis-reported facts on GROCKLAW.NET, then if IBM is sponsoring the site as TSG seems to want people to think, then IBM is supporting the truth. I can see how TSG would be concerned with having the truth be known, but based on their history of lies and deception, I can not understand why they are promoting their legal opponent as a supporter of the truth - that has to not help their legal case...
PJ has stated she is not sponsored or supported by IBM. I believe her.
TSG has stated there is proprietary "IP" (no such thing legally, I am not sure what they are really meaning) that has been illegally put into Linux - but they refuse to say where the code is, when it was introduced, who misappropriated it, how they know it is their code, or why they think that their "IP" is in there at all.
TSG has claimed as infringing code programming done by Linus Torvalds.
TSG is claiming the GPL is unconstitutional on specious grounds of not being able to hijack it to their profit.
TSG says the GPL is not valid and even unconstitutional, but is willing to use it if they can make a profit on it (SAMBA, or any of the other GPL'ed software included in their current product and advertised future products).
TSG has stated that IBM is sponsoring or supporting the site. Based on their track record of lies, I DON'T believe them. - Posted by: waltH Posted on: 03/08/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
