- In addition to the likelihood that big telecoms will be able to control what we can access on the internet this just seem like another big brother method of controlling people's lives in the name of "security". Listen people, its not security the government is interested in. They are interested in control plain and simple. Republicans complain all the time about "big government" yet they are the first to use the government to intrude into people's lives in places where they don't belong. For me, if the internet becomes controlled by the telecoms and by keeping records for the government to monitor then I will simply refuse to pay to have internet access in my home anymore. I hope these guys are reading because they will lose money from me. Maybe I am one person but I am willing to bet that I am not the only one willing to pull the plug if the internet becomes so controlled and polluted by idiots in Washington.
