I find OpenOffice easier to use because I am familiar with it.
Give some examples of what you think is easier to use with MS Office. For me, entering formulas, navigating menus, entering numbers, formatting text, is all about the same. Really, there is only so much you can do with an office suite, they are mature products. And, sometimes simple and does the trick is better.

In that regard, both these office suites have become bloated. I am looking forward to simple easy to use Word Processors and Spreadsheets that use the ODF format. Hopefully this will drive a round of inovation having a standard file format.
