Where in the world do you get 50% conversion?
"So, if we figure we will probably be able to get (in the near future) 50% conversion from solar cells, at 1Kw per meter squared"

Average PV cells are around 12% conversion at best which means they deliver 120 watts per square meter. The best system in the world which relies on 500x suns using collector systems can do 37% and we're still waiting for that to show up in a commercial product.

Heck if you could sell me a 3x3 meter dish concentrator with one of these 37% efficiency cells and sun tracking for $10,000 that produces 3300 watts during the day, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Many people would. The problem is that it doesn't exist commercially.
