Still would be too expensive for retail.
Not if you want to use distributed electrical generation where everyone is tied into the grid. The panels need to come down to around $200 dollars and the size of 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. A tracking system would be too expensive. Just add a few more panels instead. It would be more cost effective if the price of panels come way down. They need to make billions of them. There are over 100 million buildings in this country. I think the windmill is the better solution that we are building one.
