So we can't get enough electricity to power all of our industrialized society from the Sun. Clearly, this is mandate to simply stop pursuing this avenue.

Of course, if we can build efficient, cost effective house-top systems that will provide the necessary power for that house, we will have REDUCED the need for power production.

Which seems a better course?
