and I don't want to put all the eggs in the nuclear basket. It can produce a wealth of energy, but are we a mature enough species to not produce a wealth of trouble with it, either in ignorance or in acts of anger against each other.

A combined solution that draws from solar, wind, oil, nuclear, biofuel, and others would go a long way to a better environment and less centralized dependencies.
