Fantasy

You can pretend the laws of physics don't apply as much as you want to, but that doesn't make them go away.

The maximum energy you can extract from solar radiation at the Earth's surface is 1 kilowatt per square meter. All the high oil prices, solar collectors or efficient silicon in the world will not change this fundamental fact.

And one kilowatt per square meter is not enough energy density to meet the needs of an industrialized society.

The answer is staring us in the face, but the same scientific ignorance that makes people chase after solar power, wave power or wind power prevents them from using Nuclear power.
