but in games with Nazi depictions, I've not tied the Nazi soldiers/party to modern day Germans. Too many times people tie a moment, a party, a figurehead or spokesman to be the feeling and voices of all of the citizens of that land.
And yes, other countries will depict themselves as the hero's of their histories and games, media and culture, . . if not, the esteem levels must be pretty low to do otherwise.
But generalizations abound as a report by one group becomes the American report or such, or the mod becomes the Islamic mod, whereas the people of each country have their own views that may not follow strictly with party, militia, or spiritual sway.
For myself, having played a WWII shooter hasn't created a German hate fest, and if it does for someone else, their are issues with that player that run deeper than too many frags. With the current Middle East situations, things are much more heated than confrontations that occurred in the early to middle 1900s, and will remain so for decades to come, where there will be a lot of back and forth games from multiple sides.
And maybe Americans have grown tired of being presented in the Middle East as doing nothing positive. The shoe may be on the other foot, but what will any shoe trading ever garner? - Posted by: Boot_Agnostic Posted on: 05/05/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
