Could you be a bit more specific?
Office Automation and workflows would be a couple of places where Microsoft Office users would find .odf supported documents lacking.

Maybe I missed the subtler parts, but I was under the impression that the automation and workflow support in MSOffice is primarily via functions in the software and external server functions. Very little is in the files and what there is is via embedded macros, which of course ODF has.
