Time to Look into other Parties
I cannot agree with you more. The Republican/
Democratic PARTY (the singular word is intended)
does exactly what the monied special interests
want.. Because of this political monopoly, we
have monopolies such as the oil companies,
telcos, and cable companies, and despite which
faction currently holds power (either Democratic
or Republican), it is business as usual. The
ordinary people of the U.S. have not been
represented since near the beginning of the 20th
century. We do not need a new president or
Congress, we need a new government. Actually, we
need a government that actually respects and
lives by the Constitution. A step in this
direction will occur when people take a look at
the Constitution Party ( http://
www.constitutionparty.org/ ), Libertarian Party
( http://www.lp.org ), Veterans Party, or any of
the other alternative parties.

When voting time comes along, I almost NEVER
vote Democrat/Republican if there is a candidate
from another party running, or if there is a
write in blank. If everyone who stays home on
election day decided to vote for candidates from
political parties other than the Democratic/
Republican PARTY, change for the better can
happen. If we do not fire the Democratic/
Republican PARTY, the U.S. will continue its
slide into third world status.

I quit trying to reach out to the registered
Democratic/Republican voters because most are
simply too narrow minded to look at alternatives.
Trying to convince Republican/Democratic party
members is an excercise in futility and
frustration. However, I have had success in
showing those who stay home on election day that
there are choices at the ballot box. People no
longer have to hold their noses when they mark
their ballots.
