...and the next step down the spiral is taken.
The only reason the vote failed is because it was a Democratic-backed amendment. Would it still fail if it was republican-backed? Probably, since the repubs are a tentacle of the obsolete POTS syndicate, whose own attempts to control the net should be obvious by now.

Earlier this month, AOL was charged with blocking email from an opposition group. They claimed it was a "glitch," but the timing to another gop victory over net neutrality is highly suspicious to me, especially since it was a group opposed to an AOL plan that was blocked.

Was I reading too much into that AOL story? Maybe. Just don't look too surprized to see more stories like that comming out as the neutrality issue is slowly destroyed by the POTS' gop buddies. About the only way neutrality will ever become reality is:
1) The POTScos die out, like the gops will allow that to happen.
2) Someone is able to sieze control of the net from the POTScos.
3) People with enough tech skill, and OpenSource codes, create a new Internet that cuts the POTScos and the government out alltogether. Or..
4) GOP sites an emails are systematically blocked and deleted by ISPs who know what's the deal.

Dare to dream.
