Just another hobby...

It's just like any other hobby. People get on, hang out with friends, and go kill stuff. The same as a hobby like hunting.
And there is an alternative: Dark Age
While WoW does have a ton of people playing it, more and more dumping it (like I did) and switching to something else. I went with Dark Age of Camelot, and couldn't be happier. No waiting in DAoC. Waiting = The sux.
