Intel has fallen and can't get up...
Anyone with a clue knows Intel has had no products worth buying for the past three years. As such they have used fire sale prices to dump as much obsolete inventory as they can. Even fire sale prices ain't helping much the past three quarters as they lose more market share each quarter, across all market segments.

As far as AMD is concerned, they are enjoying record sales, profits, margins, and market share -all at Intel's expense.

This statement in the story is incorrect:

"AMD, however, has also warned of its own flat to slightly lower sales. "

Actually AMD said sales for the next quarter will be flat compared to the previous quarter, not compared to year-over-year results. The difference is a 40% projected increase in sales for this next quarter, compared to Intel's projected significant drop in sales.
