Fie on Philips!
I was looking at a Philips MP3 player just in case the 4G iPod hits the wall and it's time to "think outside" the Apple folder. Thanks to this "Sony Root Kit" behavior, Philips is on the Never Buy in a Million Years list. (I was also looking at a Philips LCD TV, but not any more.)
