Being prepared for the worst is the best
any person can do. And it does make the difference of life or death. I have been researching the damage potential for the next earthquake in not only San Francisco but Seattle as well as Alaska. It's amazing how unprepared the people are. So apopoleptic in their view of the very real danger they live with. Then there is Mt. Rainier... it has been shown that Seattle, or the area on which Seattle is built, was once the discharge point for a huge pyroclastic flow and that the conditions are ripe for another one, far more devastating than the last one 300 years ago.

If you live in the ring of fire you need to be prepared. And if you have a business, well chances are pretty good that when the big ones hit it really won't matter what you have done to protect it.
