Almost forgot...
I own my own business, and I have taken reasonable precautions to protect what I have. But the reality is I am beholden to noone but myself and my employees. And since they are all aware of my stance on emergencies... Your statement about businesses is just one more reason being incorporated is not as good as people make it sound.

I am small enough and flexible enough that when disaster strikes I can adapt and roll with the punches. If the area becomes unsuitable for business... pick up and move to another more viable area.

But first and foremost my family and my safety are paramount and of more importance to me. As I have stated before I have worked very hard to get to a very secure place in life. I follow the 7 P's.
