I too doubt the veracity of AOL's story
Sorry, but coincidences like suddenly having a glitch block a site that is critical of your policies don't just happen; they are caused. Any company that values the opinions of its customers ensures stupid tricks like that just don't happen. Which is proof enough for me that AOL doesn't give a rodent's posterior about what their customers think about them.

I could swear I saw an FCC regulation a while back that stated that ISPs are NOT allowed to arbitrarily block e-mail; but are required to provide you a list of sites that you designate that you want blocked.
